Each bag of Sanctuary Blend raises money for rescue farm animals at The Retreat Animal Rescue Sanctuary in Kent. Founded in 1989 by the amazing Billy Thompson, The Retreat is either a forever home or a second chance to over 1250 animals and has saved 20,000+ animals since it opened!

Asefa is located at the heart of Shantawene Village with in 10km of Daye town in the midst of natural forest and indigenous trees which are expected to be older than 200 years.

The farm is at the reachable distance to out-growers in Bombe, Shantawene and Keramo villages. It is surround by rivers separating Shantawene from Bombe which runs from the hills above Karamo. To maintain natural shades and the fertility of the soil with consultancy of expertise from the ministry of agriculture various shade trees are planted on the farm.

Pradera, a processing station owned by Cofinet, coordinates an educational program as well as high spec production facilities with the aim to assist farmers in areas where it is harder to process coffee.

Cofinet lend their expertise to participating farmers via a 6-day internship providing technical and practical skills as well as an onsite agronomist to further develop their education.

Sanctuary Blend is the perfect balanced espresso or filter coffee, showcasing a sweet red fruit-forward acidity, tied together with creamy cocoa notes and long-lasting caramel on the finish. Perfect by itself and truly lovely paired with your favourite milk (our favourite is oat!).
