Julys charity was brought to us by Gary and Sue Hanley who are subscribers. They walked the three peak challenge in atrocious weather on the 29th June raising an amazing £2673.75 for FND Dimensions. This includes the subscriber donation of £150. You can still donate on the link below.

Here is some more information FND Dimensions and their reasons for supporting this charity.
Our eldest daughter, JoJo, was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) in 2019. She has had to cope with many of the diverse symptoms of FND over the years such as seizures, leg weakness resulting in inability to walk, chronic pain and fatigue, tics, speech issues and a variety of other symptoms.
FND is a relatively unknown and stigmatised neurological condition which effects the way the brain sends signals to different parts of the body.
The NHS offers little to no support. This is where charities, such as FND Dimensions, become invaluable.
JoJo has not only personally benefited from the services of FND Dimensions, but she now also volunteers for them.
These smaller charities need all the help they can get with funding so we are trying to do our part by taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on Saturday 29th June. We both hit the ripe old age of 50 this year so hopefully our fitness levels can cope with 24.5 miles and 5,236 ft elevation in under 12 hours. Any donations, however small, are greatly appreciated.
FND Charity Aims
Our aims are really very simple, to create a safe environment where those diagnosed with FND can come together, for mutual support without the fear of being judged because of their symptoms. To give people the opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge and ask questions of each other, either in ‘face to face’ meet ups or online. We also want to support their family and carers through groups of their own, to help come to terms with and share their experiences of supporting someone with FND.
Our ethos is to carry out the above in a spirit of, ‘Mutual Support and Mutual Respect’ where the isolation of FND can be broken and all individuals are valued equally.
Message from the FND Dimensions Founder
FND Dimensions was born with the support of a few key individuals who have helped the organisation reach this stage and to who I am eternally grateful. Now with the development of patient groups and the support of each other, people with FND, will hopefully find a place to share their experiences. We have a long way to go still and lots of ways we would like to develop the charity further, but from comments received it’s clear FND Dimensions has become a safe ‘port in a storm’ for many people.
I very much look forward to meeting or talking to you in due course.
With best wishes, Steven Webster.
