Coffee production in Kenya is centred around ten regions in the mid-west of the country with a range of altitudes from 1200m up to 2300m.  The primary varieties cultivated are hybrid coffees such as SL28 and SL34.

Traceability

Kenya has a good infrastructure surrounding its coffee production, which means it is easy to get traceability back to an individual farm.  However, it is also common practice to trace back to a individual lot from a washing station that will have been contributed to by a large number of farmers
