Coffee production in Peru is centred around four regions in the central spine of the country with an altitudes ranging up to 2000m. The wide range of varieties are cultivated, including Bourbon, Typica, Caturra, and Mondo Novo. There is a strong culture of organic farming in the country, so it is not unusual to see Peruvian coffees marked as Organic.
Taste & QualityThe coffees from Peru tend to be clean & simple, sweet & full bodied.
TraceabilityA growing number of farms in Peru are now members of cooperatives, so traceability tends to stop at that level.
