How was the Roastery founded, what was the inspiration?

I founded BrewCoffeePlus in 2019 after selling off my shares in Cpress which is my previous business. It was very successful but never made me happy the way coffee does and I had this big dream. I invested all my money into this new baby, my vision to roast the best coffee in town and make a living of something that I truly love. Tom crossed my coffee path three years ago and has been by my side ever since. He is truly passionate about what he does and part of the BrewFamily now.

What's your favourite part about working at the Roastery?

Being free, independent and deeply focused on creating a product is the best part of having my own Roastery. You get to do different tasks every day from consulting & helping people fulfilling their dreams to the perfect coffeeshop to inventing new recipes, exploring the various coffee markets out there to photography for your branding. I love this variety and giving back to society probably the best part of it. All our coffee is traceable and ethically sourced.

What's your proudest accomplishment?

I am able to literally change the quality of life of other people. Our farmers are all small regional producers and focus on hand picked high quality cherries. You create jobs for real people not machines and ensure they get fair wages. This makes me go to sleep with a smile on my face.

What three words best describe your Roastery?
Quality - Transparency - Cleanliness
What’s your favourite place to enjoy a coffee, and what coffee would that be?

I love a good pastry so without a doubt it will be a place in nature with fresh French pastry in one hand and a clean rich filter in the other.

What is your favourite snack or treat to have to accompany your coffee?

Nothing beats a fresh authentic French pastry.

What would you drink if there was no coffee?

    A cold pressed green juice.

What is your favourite tasting notes to find in coffee?

Fruity and funky notes with a sweet, smooth finish.

Where would you recommend for food and drink in your local area?

Juliet, they are in Tooting around ten minutes from the Roastery. Juliet offers great food in a consistently nice and friendly atmosphere. The only thing lacking there is my coffee.

Finally, what Dog & Hat combination would you choose?

French Bulldog in a black Fedora hat.
