Will from Bunaberry Speciality Coffee Roasters
How was the Roastery founded, what was the inspiration?

We started out as a coffee subscription box because we thought it would be a great way to learn the industry and to deepen our knowledge of speciality coffee. After spending 7 months exploring Europe’s best roasters and seeing coffee roasting first hand, we thought it would be a perfect fit for us and what our values are.

We got a lot of inspiration from the craft beer scene in Bristol, with the artwork on the bottles and thought we’d bring this over to the coffee industry.

What's your favourite part about working at the Roastery?

My favourite part about working in the roastery is cupping lots of different origins and developing my taste buds. It’s been the most exciting development because when I first started I couldn’t distinguish the difference between the origins and now we can identify individual flavour notes.

What's your proudest accomplishment?

Our proudest accomplishment so far was seeing our bags being sold in my favourite café. For years, I had visualised it and when it happened it was a great feeling.

What three words best describe your Roastery?

Quirky - Fun - Ethical

What’s your favourite place to enjoy a coffee, and what coffee would that be?

My favourite place to enjoy a coffee is Society Café in Bristol, and it would be a Rwandan Natural brewed on a V60.

Finally, what Dog & Hat combination would you choose?

My chosen Dog and Hat combo would be a German Shepard in a top hat.
