How was the Roastery founded, what was the inspiration?
The roastery first started back in 2016 as a side project to the roasting consultancy business Chipp Coffee Co. was originally set up for, after a few years focusing on consultancy we've decided to bring back our roasting to the market and it's off to a great start!
What's your favourite part about working at the Roastery?
That's hard to pinpoint, I love creating the brand and producing the products, talking to customers and helping create an amazing coffee community. I guess my favourite day to day activity would be the sourcing of the green coffees and analysing the roast profiles to always try and improve where we can.
What's your proudest accomplishment?
Competing in the cup tasters and roasting championships have been great fun over the years but more recently being the assistant instructor for the UK Q grade qualifications has been incredibly rewarding.

What’s your favourite place to enjoy a coffee, and what coffee would that be?
Anywhere in one of the many awesome coffee shops Leeds has to offer, the fresh Ethiopians about are fantastic at the moment.
