How was the Roastery founded, what was the inspiration?
Fuglen Coffee Roasters Oslo is the latest edition to our Fuglen family. We opened in 2018 to supply our own coffee bar and roastery bar with coffee as well as our other customers. We had already opened a roastery in tokyo in 2014 to supply our coffee bar over there with a lighter roasted, high quality coffee, so it was natural to open one where the Fuglen story originated as well, Oslo.
What's your favourite part about working at the Roastery?
The people, the flavours and the smell. To start the day with the smell of newly roasted coffee can' compare with anything. To see the faces of busy morning people, for those five minutes, before they rush on with life, just taking a break and finding some zen. It makes our day.
What's your proudest accomplishment?
I won the Norwegian championship in cupping in 2019, It was so much fun!

Accessible - High Quality - Chill.
What’s your favourite place to enjoy a coffee, and what coffee would that be?
Outside with friends, enjoying a good cup of kenyan coffee.
