How was the Roastery founded, what was the inspiration?

Muttley & Jack’s is a specialty coffee micro-roastery founded in Stockholm in 2016. We combine a love of coffee with a love of travel and offer people the chance to ‘travel the world in your coffee cup’. Each month we launch a new coffee, from a new country. Each 12 months we explore 12 countries, enjoyed their coffee and learned more about the world of coffee.

What's your favourite part about working at the Roastery?

I love getting to know each coffee. Approaching the bean from different angles, testing and tasting and, step by step, discovering the best characteristics the beans have to offer. (Like Michelangelo revealing David from a slab of marble)

What's your proudest accomplishment?

Just a few months after we opened we won the silver medal in the Swedish Coffee Roasting Championships.

What’s your favourite place to enjoy a coffee, and what coffee would that be?

Sitting at the water’s edge on a sunny day with a Kenyan pour-over.
