Coffee Facts

Whilst the main differences between the Karts Organic coffees coming out of East Timor are quite nuanced, Samoro’s geographical location means it is more exposed to direct sunlight than its other groups in Letefoho. The resulting increase in ambient temperature means that fermentation water is also slightly warmer and more viscous and this results in a coffee that is slightly bolder in the cup.

This is a truly special fully-washed coffee. Whilst Karst Organics was able to provide 200 coffee tree seedlings to members last year, more encouragement needs to be given in the community on coffee tree rehabilitation so as to increase yield and ultimately individual household income.
