Overview

Coffee growing in Tanzania is centred around six major regions, which range in altitude from 1,100m up to 2500m at Kilimanjaro.  The major varieties grown are Kent, Bourbon and Typica.

Taste & Quality

Tanzanian coffees tend to be fruity and high in acidity, much like Kenyan coffee.

Traceability

Tanzanian coffees tend to be traceable back to cooperatives processing at washing stations, or to the larger estate farms.
