Shyira community washing station is located in the Nyabihu district within the Western Province. The surrounding mountains, waterfalls and river Gicice set the scene for one of the most naturally beautiful coffee facilities in the world, with fertile soil and wildlife occupying the area throughout.

Shyira CWS is a well renowned washing station that produces some of the most
sought-after coffees in Rwanda. The unique topography of Shyira is key to its continued success. Located at 1850masl in the Shyira Hills, the washing station is set within a mountain pass. The cool breeze channelled through the valley provides the perfect conditions for drying coffee evenly on raised beds.

You will find the expected characteristics that come with high quality Rwandan coffees, but with more complexity and brightness, lent from the distinctive drying process.
