Coffee Facts
Kizi Rift is produced by an exporting family in the Rutsiro coffee-growing region of Rwanda.
They are part of Baho Coffee, a cooperative that processes washed coffees of different varieties, including some experimental varieties. Their focus is on improving the efficiency of the supply chain, offering fair and affordable prices to thousands of small coffee farmers across the country.
This group of producers is committed to a collaborative economy that allows them to deliver coffee directly to roasters. They work as a single team, vertically—from farm to roaster—prioritizing cup quality, environmental and economic sustainability, and transparency at every stage of the process. Their goal is clear: to produce coffee sustainably, with high-quality micro-lots, ensuring a fair price for coffee farmers. This not only improves their living conditions and those of their families, but also brings real value to the roasters through commitment and collaborative work.
