Aeropress Coffee
How to Brew AeroPress Coffee at Home
The AeroPress is the smooth operator of the coffee world: quick, forgiving and always up for a good time. In this easy AeroPress brew guide, we’ll show you how to use the inverted method with 18g of freshly ground coffee, 250g of water and a brew ratio of around 1:14.
The result? A cup that’s softer than espresso, fuller than a V60, and nicely balanced in the middle, like the coffee equivalent of a well-timed high five. Bloom it, steep it, flip it, press it, then tweak the grind, brew time or water temperature until your cup is singing.

✓ Dialling In Your Cup
If your brew tastes…off, here’s your troubleshooting spellbook:
Too sour / thin (fast brew)
→ Grind finer or steep longer
Too bitter / muddy (slow brew)
→ Grind coarser or press sooner
Too strong
→ Add a bit of bypass water after brewing
⭑ Pro Tips
Water temp
→ ~85–92°C (slightly cooler than V60)
Paper vs metal filter
- Paper = cleaner, brighter
- Metal = fuller body, more oils
☺︎ Flavour Vibe Guide
