Fresh

Coffee is a wonderfully fresh item, and from the moment it tumbles out of the roaster it should be on it's way to the customer as soon as possible. Dog and Hat works closely with our suppliers and places orders specifically for the subscription. They arrive with us 1-3 days after roasting, then we ship straight to you.

Some roasters pack their coffee in sealed pouched with one-way air valves that let naturally occurring CO2 out, but stop air getting in - this keeps the coffee as fresh as possible for as long as possible.  However, even with this care and attention, coffee is best used within 3 months of the roasted-on date... but can have shelf lives of up to 6 months dependent on supplier.
