About

We are a small independent business based in Sheffield, established in 2012. We now have five team members in total (Katie, Courtney, Vilma, Lee and Bidisha) who work between our two bases - a new roastery in the new Cutlery Works development and our coffee shop in Sheffield city centre.

We love coffee and it is this pursuit of ever better coffee drinking experiences that drives us. We love coffee because it helps us to connect with people, whether its sharing a great cup with friends in a coffee shop, or working in collaboration with farmers and producers in other parts of the world. Our goal is to help our customers and guests to have great experiences and we use coffee as a conduit to help us achieve that. Most of all, we just get super excited sharing our passion and blowing minds with incredible brews. Coffee is an important part of life but it can be so much better than it usually is and it's our mission to help you get the coffee you deserve in your cup.

We find the best coffee beans from all over the world. We then spend a lot of time tasting, measuring and tweaking until we are happy that we have found the perfect roast profile for each coffee.

In January 2017, we opened our first coffee shop on Bank Street in Sheffield. The coffee shop is a way for us to show how we think coffee should be served but it's not all about coffee. Our ethos of valuing freshness and seasonality is carried through to our food offering.

Dog and Hat

As avid fans and members of the UK Coffee Forum, one roaster's name comes up more than any other - and that name is Foundry.  It's also convenient that they are in Yorkshire, so we popped down to their cafe in Sheffield to meet up with Lee and the gang - much coffee chat and tasting ensued and we're very happy to have them on-board.
