Hello and thanks for joining us again for another month of tasty and interesting coffee.

For the November edition of the Dialled In Coffee Subscription we have gone right back the beginning to feature the wonderful Django Coffee Co. from Southport, Merseyside.

Alongside Django we are thrilled to introduce Dak Coffee Roasters from Amsterdam in Holland.

We are continuing the Black Cat theme this month, by bringing back Black Cat Coffee Roasters from Norfolk and then to round off the subscription we are featuring Outpost Coffee Roasters from Nottingham.

October 2021 Coffee Dial-In Guide

This month, we had another delayed production sample which meant that we couldn't get our finalised Dial-In settings for the Plot Colombia Micro-Lot in the booklet before it went to print.

When roasters get a new coffee in they typically profile the coffee roast on a smaller scale sample roaster.  For freshly landed coffee crops or exclusive micro-lots (like the Plot Colombia this month), this is typically the sample that we receive to make a decision on the coffee.  The final scaled up production roast is often slightly different to this original sample we receive, and so we like to use this production roast sample to provide our Dial-In settings for you all.

Onyx Ethiopia Hambella Buku Grind Size Guide

Hi everyone, as you know on the Dog and Hat Coffee subscription we always include our Dialled-In grind size settings for each of the coffees every month in the booklet to help you start making the most of the coffee straight away.

This month we had a slight challenge as the final production sample of the Onyx Coffee Labs Ethiopia coffee was delayed getting to us (it was stuck in a container longer than hoped) so we couldn't include the settings in this month's booklet.

However, please find the settings below.

September 2021 Coffee Guide

Welcome to the second part of our 4th birthday celebrations... it was just all too big to fit into the August edition of the coffee subscription, so here we are.

We can't express just how excited we are to have the first headliner joining us this month to continue the celebrations... so please give a huge, enormous, Dog and Hat welcome to Onyx Coffee Labs from Rogers, Arkansas, USA.

We have had the pleasure of working with Onyx a couple of times before, but only on a very small scale... so we, Lance Hedrick and the team over at Onyx have really pulled out all the stops to allow us to bring them in for you all to enjoy this month... and just wait till you see what coffee they've found for us as well - it's a beauty.

Joining them in this month's subscription are three new roasters - Brew Coffee Plus from London, River City Coffee from Hull and Lindfield Coffee Works from Lindfield, West Sussex.

August 2021 Coffee Guide

Welcome to the Dog and Hat 4th birthday extravaganza and this month on the subscription we are celebrating upcoming and emerging origins from across the world of coffee.

Our goal is to break down your preconceptions of some of the lesser known coffee regions with both some amazing coffees and unusual processing methods.

To accomplish this, we will be taking you on a coffee journey across South East Asia and the Pacific Rim taking in China, Indonesia, Myanmar and East Timor.

Adding to the intrigue and mystery we also have Washed, Black Honey, and even a Carbonic Maceration (Anaerobic) processing method for you to try.

We then take another trip overseas, this time across the Irish Sea for only the second time, as we feature Sam Wolsey at cutting edge Wildheart Coffee Roasters.

Next up we are very happy to be welcoming back Nathan and the team from Quarter Horse Coffee down in Birmingham.

Finally we have a great coffee, with a great story from a lovely little roastery - Carringtons Coffee over in Warrington.

Cold Brew and Iced Coffee Season

With the summer heat comes a craving, a craving for refreshment. The crackle of ice, that satisfying clink, the drip of condensed water travelling down the outside of a chilled glass. The first thing I think of when the sun breaks through the clouds, is an iced coffee.

Brazil Coffee on UK Best Coffee Subscription

Love Letter to Brazil

Brazilian specialty coffee, three words that might fill some people with a memory of flavours you would rather forget, sure we have all cupped some intensely boring Brazilian coffees. We all have some that spring to mind too but should we ignore the world’s largest coffee producer as a viable option when we are hunting out our next single origin?  Of course not and with great volume comes great coffee. Here at Dog and Hat we love Brazils. Brazil is at the forefront of experimental processing methods and has produced some phenomenal offerings, with acidity and complexity.
